Wood is supported in the essential oil blend through the alchemy of Cypress essential oil, Lemon essential oil, Clary Sage essential oil, Roman Chamomile essential oil and Peppermint essential oil.
Each oil has been selected because of its specific relationship to the wood element and how they harmonize the relationship of wood to the other elements.
Cypress Essential Oil – The pungent, cooling nature of cypress makes it a favorite for moving Liver and Gall Bladder Qi (energy). With a further affinity for the Lungs and Kidney it helps assist the movement of energy in the whole body.
Lemon Essential Oil – This popular essential oil is excellent for moving Qi energy in the middle, and thus harmonizes digestion. It works on the Stomach, Liver and Gall Bladder and moves damp stagnant energy that blocks the digestive tract.
Clary Sage Essential Oil – This soft and potent essential oil is a known hormone balancer which it does through harmonizing the function of the Liver, Kidneys and Heart. When wood energy is moving in a balanced manner in our lives, every part of us functions with more harmony, including our endocrine system.
Roman Chamomile Essential Oil – Soft, sweet and herbaceous in its dynamic nature, Roman Chamomile Essential oil softens and relaxed when wood energy gets stuck and becomes angry, irritable or belligerent. With an affinity for the Liver and Spleen, it can promote the normal function of the digestion in times of stress through its relaxing function.
Peppermint Essential Oil – Peppermint is used in Chinese Herbal medicine and essential oil alchemy to cool and move a stagnant, hot Liver/Gall Bladder. It’s top note qualities mean it has an affinity for the upper part of the body. Dynamically it moves Wood Qi to the chest, helping with respiration as well as inspiration.
